Distribute

## One generation, every feed.

The social suite is the Distribute phase of the Content OS workflow: the part that happens after a video finishes rendering. You connect the accounts you post to, write the caption once, pick a time, and a background scheduler publishes the file for you. Everything on this page describes what the product does today, as it is built, so you can judge whether it fits how your team works.

It is built for short-form first. TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts all want the same 9:16 vertical file, and the video generator produces that format natively, so one clip can go to three feeds without a re-render or a crop.

## Connect your accounts once.

Account connections live at /distribute/accounts. Each platform uses its own OAuth flow: you click Connect, the browser is sent to the platform's consent screen, you approve, and you land back on the accounts page with the connection listed. Tokens are encrypted before they are stored. A background job checks them every 30 minutes and refreshes any token due to expire within the hour, so a post scheduled for next week does not fail because a token aged out. If a refresh fails three times in a row, the account is marked inactive and the page shows a Reconnect button instead of letting every scheduled post fail the same way.

### YouTube

Videos and Shorts upload through the YouTube Data API's resumable upload. Your caption and hashtags become the video description. Uploads are created as unlisted by default so you can check the result before switching it to public inside YouTube Studio. The scheduler accepts files up to 256 MB.

### TikTok

Publishing goes through TikTok's Content Posting API, which pulls the video from its hosted URL and sets the caption and hashtags. TikTok requires an app review before posts publish directly, so this connection is available as platform approvals allow; while an app is in review mode the video lands in your TikTok drafts inbox instead.

### Instagram

Reels publish through the Instagram Graph API. Instagram enforces the format: 9:16 aspect ratio, MP4 or MOV, between 3 and 90 seconds. Instagram also gates publishing behind an app review, so this connection is available as platform approvals allow.

### X

X connects over OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Publishing to X from the scheduler is paused until the X v2 media-upload API is wired in, so the video file cannot be attached automatically yet. For X video today, generate in 16:9 or 1:1 and post the file from the X app.

## The generator sets the format.

Aspect ratio is chosen in the composer at [/generate/video](https://aicontentdrop.com/generate/video), not fixed afterwards. The composer offers 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 and shows only the ratios the selected model supports; if you switch to a model that cannot do the current ratio, the setting snaps to one it can. Duration limits work the same way, and a few models expose resolution tiers from 480p up to 4K.

- TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts: generate in 9:16. One vertical file serves all three.
- YouTube long-form and X: 16:9. Use 1:1 when you want a square post on X or in the Instagram feed.
- Length: keep Reels between 3 and 90 seconds, and expect TikTok to cap newer accounts at 60 seconds.

Because the ratio is baked into the generation, there is no crop step in the scheduler. Pick the destination first, generate in that shape, and the file is ready to post.

## From prompt to published post.

Five steps from a prompt to a live post.

1. 1

  ### Generate

Pick a model in the marketplace or the composer, set the aspect ratio for the destination, write the prompt and generate. When the video finishes it has a hosted URL, and that URL is what the scheduler needs.
2. 2

  ### Caption

On /distribute/schedule, open Schedule Post. Choose a connected account, paste the video URL, write the caption and add hashtags as a comma-separated list; the leading # is added for you. The form shows the selected platform's format and length rules before you submit, and warns when a caption passes 2,200 characters.
3. 3

  ### Schedule

Pick a date and time; it must be in the future. The post appears on the calendar and in the post list with the status scheduled. While it is still scheduled you can edit the caption, hashtags or time, or cancel it.
4. 4

  ### Auto-publish

A server-side scheduler runs every 60 seconds. On each tick it claims posts that are due, up to five at a time, moves each one to publishing, uploads it through the platform's API, and marks it published with a link to the live post, or failed. Posts are handled one after another to stay inside platform rate limits.
5. 5

  ### Retry

A failed post shows a Retry button. Retry resets it to scheduled, and the next tick picks it up. If the platform had already accepted the upload before the failure was recorded, the stored post link is reused so nothing is published twice. Posts stuck in publishing for more than ten minutes, for example after a server restart mid-upload, are recovered automatically.

## Read back what the pipeline did.

The results page at /distribute/results is a production dashboard for your account: what you generated, what it cost, and which models delivered.

- Totals: videos generated, credits used, tasks completed and average credits per video.
- Credit history: daily credit spend over the last 30 days.
- Model performance: per model, how many generations completed or failed, the success rate, and credits consumed, so you can see which model is earning its cost.
- Recent activity: your most recent video generations in one feed.

Views, likes and watch time stay in each platform's own analytics. The published post link on the schedule page takes you straight to the post on the platform, which is where that data lives.

## Where it sits in the studio.

### Chat-to-Ads Studio

At /chat you describe the ad in plain language and the studio routes the request to the right model. Five modes cover video ads, design, UGC, image generation and research. The output is a generated video whose URL you paste into the scheduler.

### UGC Factory

At /generate/ugc you build an avatar video in six steps: template, image, action, script, voice and ambience. The result is a lip-synced presenter clip, a common format for TikTok and Reels. UGC Factory needs a paid plan and costs a flat 22 credits per generation.

### Model marketplace

At /generate/marketplace you can browse 50+ video and image models, compare cost per generation and filter by task and quality. Every model can be run inline, and its output has the same hosted URL the scheduler expects.

## Who it is for.

### Social media managers

Running several accounts means the same clip, different captions, different times. Connect each account once, then schedule from one calendar. If a post fails, retry it without regenerating anything.

### Agencies

Connect a client's channel through its own OAuth consent and it sits alongside your other accounts, so posting on their behalf is a scheduling task rather than a login handoff. The model dashboard gives you a cost line per model to put in front of clients. See the [agency use case](https://aicontentdrop.com/use-cases/agencies).

### Solo creators

One person, three feeds. Generate vertical, write one caption, schedule the week in a sitting, and let the scheduler post while you make the next thing. See the [creator use case](https://aicontentdrop.com/use-cases/creators).

## Frequently asked questions.

### Which platforms can I connect?

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X. YouTube and X work as soon as the connection is approved. TikTok and Instagram require the platform's app review, so they are available as those approvals allow.

### Does the scheduler post the video file to X?

Not yet. Publishing to X is paused in the scheduler until the X media-upload API is supported. Until then, generate in 16:9 or 1:1 and attach the file in the X app.

### What happens if a post fails?

It is marked failed and a Retry button appears in the post list. Retry puts it back in the queue for the next 60-second tick. Nothing is published twice.

### Can I schedule the same video to several platforms?

Yes. Each scheduled post targets one connected account, so create one post per destination. The video URL, caption and hashtags can be the same or different for each.

### Do I need a paid plan to schedule posts?

Scheduling and account connections are part of the app for any signed-in user. Generation is what consumes credits: every account starts with 10 free credits, and paid plans start at $19 per month. Details are on the [pricing page](https://aicontentdrop.com/pricing).

### Are my account tokens safe?

Tokens are encrypted before they are stored and decrypted only when the scheduler publishes or a token is refreshed. Disconnecting an account removes it. If a token cannot be refreshed, the account is deactivated and you are asked to reconnect rather than the old credentials being reused.
