# AI Content Drop in Claude

OAuth sign-in from consumer hosts is still being verified. Public browsing and quotes work without an account; clients that accept API-key headers can use an existing key. The OAuth steps below describe the connection flow to test once sign-in is ready. Registration alone does not prove a working sign-in.

Once verified, the custom connector uses OAuth, so there is no API key
to create or paste. Browsing the catalogue and pricing a job work before you
sign in; generating needs the sign-in.

## Add the connector in one click

Open this link while signed in to Claude:

[Add AI Content Drop to Claude](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=AI%20Content%20Drop&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Faicontentdrop.com%2Fmcp)

It opens the Add custom connector dialog. If your client leaves the fields
empty, paste the name and server URL from the manual steps below.

## Add it by hand

If the link does not open the dialog in your client:

1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
2. Choose Add custom connector.
3. Name: `AI Content Drop`. URL: `https://aicontentdrop.com/mcp`.
4. Save.

The same connector works in Claude.ai on the web and in Claude Desktop, because
both read the connector list from your Claude account.

The first time a tool needs your account, Claude opens a sign-in window on
`aicontentdrop.com`. Sign in with the account you already use, or create one
there. Nothing is pasted anywhere; the connector holds a token that Claude
manages, and you never see it.

The consent screen shows the connector name, the account you are signed in as,
and what the connector will be allowed to do:

- Confirm your identity
- See your email address
- See your basic profile
- Stay signed in without asking again (the `offline_access` scope)

Approve it and the tools that need an account start working. Deny it and the
public tools keep working exactly as before.

The connector never asks for permission to buy anything, and there is nothing
on it that can. It can spend the credits your account already holds, and only
after quoting the cost first.

## Try it without signing in

> Using AI Content Drop, list the video models that cost under 20 credits.

That is `list_models`, which needs no account. Model ids and credit costs
coming back means the connector is live.

## First generation

> Quote a 5-second Kling 3.0 clip at 1080p, then generate one of a matcha tin
> on a linen backdrop, and poll it until it is done.

Claude should make three calls:

1. `estimate_credit_cost` with the model, duration and resolution. It returns
`credits_required` and a `quote_id` that is valid for 15 minutes and bound
   to exactly those parameters.
2. `generate_video` with the prompt, the model and that `quote_id`. The server
re-checks the quote, the price and your balance before submitting, and
   returns a job id.
3. `get_generation` with the job id and `kind: "video"` until the status is
   `completed`.

Credits are charged on success only. A failed render costs nothing. If Claude
retries `generate_video` with the same `quote_id`, it gets the original job
back rather than a second charge.

Images work the same way with `generate_image` and `kind: "image"`.

## Disconnect

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, find AI Content Drop and remove it.
That discards the token Claude holds. You can also revoke the grant from our
side in [Settings → Integrations](https://aicontentdrop.com/settings/integrations),
which stops the connector even if it is still listed in Claude.

## Where this connector comes from

We distribute this connector directly, through the link and the steps above.
It is not listed in Anthropic's public connector directory. The server it
points at is the same one every other MCP client uses, documented at
[the MCP server reference](https://aicontentdrop.com/docs/mcp).

## Troubleshooting

**The tools answer `AUTH_REQUIRED`.** The connector is added but you have not
signed in yet, or the grant was revoked. Click the connector in Settings and
sign in again.

**`ENTITLEMENT_REQUIRED`.** The account has no generation entitlement left.
The reply carries an `info_url` that explains plans and credits; nothing in the
connector itself sells anything.

**`QUOTE_REQUIRED`, `QUOTE_EXPIRED` or `QUOTE_MISMATCH`.** Every generation
needs a fresh `quote_id` from `estimate_credit_cost` for the same model,
duration, resolution and a quantity of 1. Ask Claude to quote again and retry.

**A generation returns a job id and nothing else.** That is correct. Generation
is submit-and-poll; call `get_generation` with the id.
