**You can use Seedance 2.5 in ByteDance's own apps (Dreamina and CapCut worldwide, Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro in China), through ByteDance's BytePlus ModelArk API, and on multi-model platforms such as Runway, Higgsfield, Magnific, Invideo, Krea, Pollo AI and AI Content Drop. The cheapest US-dollar price we found on 2026-11-07 was $1.16 for a 5-second 720p clip on BytePlus ModelArk. AI Content Drop runs Seedance 2.5 at 480p or 720p for 4 to 30 seconds, at 39 credits per 5-second 720p clip, which is $2.82 on our best per-credit plan.**

This page compares 12 platforms on the things that change what you pay and what you get: resolution, clip length, audio, the cheapest public price, a free route, and the source for each number. AI Content Drop sells Seedance 2.5, so we are one of the 12 and we priced ourselves with the same formula as everyone else. We are not the cheapest. To render it here, open the [Seedance 2.5 generator with live credit quotes](https://aicontentdrop.com/seedance-2-5); for every model and platform side by side, see the [AI video platform pricing index](https://aicontentdrop.com/blog/ai-video-platform-pricing-index); to budget your own clip count, use the [AI video cost calculator](https://aicontentdrop.com/tools/ai-video-cost-calculator); and our [plan and credit prices](https://aicontentdrop.com/pricing) are public.

- Seedance 2.5's top resolution depends on the platform: 480p and 720p here, up to 1080p on Runway's API, Higgsfield, Magnific and Invideo, and "4K" according to Dreamina's page, as read on 2026-11-07.

## Where Seedance 2.5 is available

Seedance 2.5 is available in four ByteDance apps, through one ByteDance API, and on at least seven multi-model platforms we could verify on 2026-11-07. ByteDance's launch post of 2026-07-31 named Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro as the first apps and BytePlus ModelArk as the API channel, and its model page links to a BytePlus playground and to ByteDance's Dola app. Dreamina and CapCut, both from ByteDance, carry it for users outside China.

The table lists each platform with the same columns. "Maker app" and "maker API" mean a ByteDance channel; "multi-model" means a platform that sells many companies' models from one account. The 5-second 720p column uses the platform's cheapest plan that includes Seedance 2.5, on monthly billing where possible. Euro prices stay in euros, because our test browser ran from an EU address and those sites showed euros; we did not convert them.

"Not stated" means the page we read did not say, not that the feature is missing. Artlist also has a Seedance 2.5 model page, but its pages did not open in our reader on 2026-11-07, so it is not in the table. The [cost-per-second index across 19 platforms](https://aicontentdrop.com/blog/ai-video-platform-pricing-index) has the same Seedance rows next to Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0 and Hailuo 2.3.

## Cheapest way to use Seedance 2.5

The cheapest way depends on how many clips you make and whether you write code: for US-dollar prices on 2026-11-07, BytePlus ModelArk was cheapest per clip, and among euro prices Dreamina's plans were lowest. Here is the cheapest route we found for three kinds of use.

- Occasional use, no code:

start with Dreamina's free daily credits, then its Standard plan at EUR 31 a month (EUR 18.60 for the first month), which quotes Seedance 2.5 from EUR 0.14 per second at 720p. A 10-second 720p clip at that rate is about EUR 1.40.
- Heavy use, no code:

Dreamina's larger plans lower the quoted rate to EUR 0.09 per second (Advanced, EUR 138 a month) and EUR 0.07 per second (Ultra, EUR 450 a month). At EUR 0.07, a 30-second 720p clip is about EUR 2.10. Higgsfield's plans add time-limited "unlimited" Seedance 2.5 windows, but the page does not state a per-clip price, so we could not compare them.
- API:

BytePlus ModelArk at $10.70 per million tokens, or

  $1.16

for 5 seconds at 720p and

  $0.51

  at 480p. Runway's API costs

  $1.50

for the same 720p clip. By BytePlus's own formula, which grows in step with the length, a 30-second 720p clip comes to about

  $6.94

  .

AI Content Drop is not the cheapest route for any of the three. A 5-second 720p clip here costs 39 credits, which is $4.25 on the Professional plan and $2.82 on the Ultra plan with 3,000 credits. At 480p, a 5-second clip costs 20 credits, or $2.53 on Starter. A 30-second 720p take is 234 credits, or $16.93 on the best per-credit plan. What one plan here buys is Seedance 2.5 next to 50+ other models on one credit balance; that is a convenience, not a lower price. The [Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 pricing breakdown](https://aicontentdrop.com/blog/seedance-2-0-pricing-2026) works through the cost of finished videos, not single clips.

## Is there a free way to use Seedance 2.5?

Yes, but only one platform in this comparison stated it on 2026-11-07: Dreamina's FAQ says it gives free daily credits to try Seedance 2.5 before you subscribe. Dreamina lists "Remove the Dreamina watermark in downloads" as a paid-plan benefit, so plan for a watermark on free downloads. None of the other pages we read offered free Seedance 2.5 renders.

AI Content Drop does not offer free Seedance 2.5 renders. A new account gets 10 credits once, after email verification, and those credits work only with the image models Z-Image, FLUX.2 and Seedream 4.5. Seedance 2.5 needs a paid plan. You can write a prompt, pick settings and see the credit quote on the [Seedance 2.5 page here](https://aicontentdrop.com/seedance-2-5) without paying.

Search results for "Seedance 2.5 free" also show sites that promise free or unlimited access. Two checks help. First, find the price page: a site that sells credits has one, and the free part is usually a small trial. Second, check which model you get: some sites use "Seedance" in their domain name but are not ByteDance and do not say which model version they run.

## What differs between platforms

The same model name can mean different output: the platforms differ in resolution cap, clip length, references, audio, failed-render billing and watermarks. These are the differences we could source on 2026-11-07.

- Resolution caps.

AI Content Drop renders Seedance 2.5 at 480p or 720p only. Runway's API offers 1080p at $0.68 per second, Magnific and Invideo list 1080p rows, Higgsfield's model page says up to 1080p, and Dreamina's page advertises 4K. If you need a 1080p or 4K master here, the

  Seedance 2.0 tiers with 1080p and 4K

  are the route.
- Length.

ByteDance's model makes up to 30 seconds per generation. Runway and AI Content Drop offer 4 to 30 seconds. Dreamina adds a beta long-video mode of up to 180 seconds.
- Audio.

Seedance 2.5 generates sound and picture in one pass. Runway's API says audio defaults to on for image-to-video and video-to-video requests. Magnific and Invideo did not state audio on their pricing pages.
- References.

At the model level, Seedance 2.5 takes up to 30 images, 10 video clips and 10 audio clips per pass. Runway's API exposes that full set for text-to-video. The

  generator page here

takes a text prompt or one starting image, not video or audio references.
- Speed and queue.

Higgsfield says unlimited use "may be subject to dynamic speed adjustments during high-traffic periods" and allows 2 parallel video jobs on Starter and 6 on Plus.
- Moderation and failed renders.

BytePlus does not charge for a video that fails, including a failure from content moderation. Runway's API page says a task that fails input moderation is still charged. AI Content Drop charges credits only when a video is delivered. On ByteDance's international API channel, input images that show a photorealistic human face are refused, and finished generations are moderated too; plan product, location or illustrated shots for Seedance 2.5 there.
- Watermarks.

Only Dreamina's page mentioned one: its paid plans remove the Dreamina watermark from downloads.

## Using Seedance 2.5 through the API

The direct API is BytePlus ModelArk, ByteDance's international model platform, which on 2026-11-07 listed the model as dreamina-seedance-2-5-260628 at $10.70 per million tokens for 480p and 720p output. BytePlus estimates tokens as (input video duration + output video duration) × width × height × frame rate ÷ 1024. For a 1280 × 720 clip at 24 frames per second, 5 seconds is 108,000 tokens, which matches BytePlus's $1.156 example. Attaching a source video adds its seconds to the bill, and a minimum token charge applies when the input includes video. BytePlus also lists a Draft mode that renders at a fixed 480p at the 480p rate.

Runway's API sells Seedance 2.5 in Runway credits at $0.01 each: 20 credits per second at 480p ($0.20), 30 at 720p ($0.30) and 68 at 1080p ($0.68). Each second of input video adds 10, 15 or 34 credits, the minimum charge is 80 credits ($0.80) per generation, and a duration of "auto" is billed as 30 seconds up front with the unused part refunded after the clip finishes.

AI Content Drop also has an API on the same credit balance as the web app. Seedance 2.5 is billed per second of output, 3.9 credits at 480p and 7.8 at 720p, rounded up to a whole credit, and failed or refused generations cost nothing. A cost endpoint quotes any model without a credential before you send a job. The [developer docs for the AI Content Drop API](https://aicontentdrop.com/developers) list the endpoints. Per clip, the BytePlus list price is lower than ours; the reason to use our API is one key for Seedance 2.5, Kling, Veo, Wan and image models.

## How to choose a Seedance 2.5 platform

Choose by output first, then by price: decide the resolution, length and inputs you need, and only then compare the price of that exact clip. A third party that sells Seedance 2.5 should tell you each of the points below in public; if it does not, ask before you pay.

1. Model maker and version.

Is it ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, and which version? (Here: ByteDance's Seedance 2.5.)
2. Official channel or not.

Does the platform use ByteDance's own API? (Here: yes.)
3. Resolution cap.

  480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K? (Here: 480p and 720p.)
4. Length and references.

How many seconds, and how many images, videos and audio clips per pass? (Here: 4 to 30 seconds; text or one starting image on the generator page.)
5. Price of your clip.

Per second or per clip, in which currency, on which plan, and with what minimum spend? (Here:

  7.8

credits per second at 720p, from the

  Professional

  plan.)
6. Credit and refund rules.

Are failed or moderated renders charged? Do plan credits roll over? (Here: failed renders cost 0; plan credits reset at renewal.)
7. Watermark and commercial use.

Does the free or paid output carry a watermark, and do the terms allow commercial use? (Here: our terms permit commercial use, with restrictions.)
8. Plan gate.

Which plan opens the model at the resolution you want? (Here: the model catalog lists Seedance 2.5 from

  Professional

; the studio also opens 480p on

  Starter

  .)

If you do not need Seedance 2.5 in particular, other models may fit the same job for less. The [Kling 3.0 generator](https://aicontentdrop.com/models/kling) renders 1080p clips of 3 to 15 seconds without sound for a flat 22 credits, and the [Wan 3.0 page](https://aicontentdrop.com/models/wan-3-0) makes 5-second 720p clips with sound for 15 credits. For a side-by-side test of the Seedance versions, read the [Seedance 2.5 vs 2.0 vs MiniMax H3 comparison](https://aicontentdrop.com/blog/seedance-2-5-1080p-vs-seedance-2-0-minimax-h3), and for prompt structure, the [Seedance JSON prompt guide](https://aicontentdrop.com/blog/seedance-2-0-json-prompt-guide).

## Why many "best platform" lists rank the publisher first

Many "where to use Seedance 2.5" lists are published by companies that sell Seedance 2.5 themselves, and those lists usually put the publisher in first place. Of 7 Seedance 2.5 roundup or access articles we could read in full on 2026-11-07, 4 came from companies that sell Seedance generation, and none of the 7 showed a sponsorship or affiliate label.

We also found at least 4 sites that published "Top 10"-style Seedance 2.5 lists with the same platform in first place; one has since been removed, and the one we could read in full had no sponsorship label and an "Advertise With Us" link. A list like that can still be useful, but its order is not a test result. Three things to look for in any roundup, this one included:

- Does the publisher sell the product it ranks, and does it say so?
- Does each price carry a date and a link to the page it came from?
- Does the list say where the publisher is not the cheapest?

This page does not rank the platforms. The table is sorted with US-dollar prices first, from lowest to highest, then euro prices from lowest to highest, then platforms without a public per-clip price.

## Method and disclosure

AI Content Drop sells Seedance 2.5, publishes this page, and is one of the 12 platforms in it; we priced our plans with the same formula as every other platform. The details:

- Date:

every vendor page was read on 2026-11-07. Most pricing pages were read in a headless browser and saved as text excerpts; the ByteDance launch post, the Runway API page, the Higgsfield model page and the CapCut article were opened the same day.
- Plan formula:

price per clip = plan price ÷ monthly plan credits × credits per clip. API rows use the published list price per second or per clip. First-month offers and limited-time discounts are noted, not used.
- Our numbers:

credits come from the same functions our billing uses, and plan prices from our plan table, computed when this page renders. The 720p entry price uses the

  Professional

plan because that is where our catalog opens Seedance 2.5 at 720p.
- Currency:

Dreamina, Higgsfield, Magnific and Invideo set the currency from the visitor's location and showed euros to our EU test browser. Those prices stay in euros; the dollar price on the same page may not equal an exchange-rate conversion.
- Exclusions:

API resellers and GPU hosting services that resell the model makers' APIs are not in the table, the same rule as the pricing index.
- Next update:

planned for 2027-02, read from a US address so that every platform shows US-dollar prices. If a price changes or we misread a page, we correct the row and note the date.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where is the best place to use Seedance 2.5?

It depends on the output you need. For the lowest US-dollar API price on 2026-11-07, BytePlus ModelArk at $1.16 per 5-second 720p clip; for a free trial, Dreamina; for 1080p through an API, Runway at $0.68 per second; for Seedance 2.5 next to other models on one balance, a multi-model platform such as AI Content Drop at 480p or 720p.

### Where can I use Seedance 2.5 for free?

On 2026-11-07, Dreamina was the only platform in this comparison whose own page stated a free route: free daily credits to try Seedance 2.5. Free downloads there are likely to carry a watermark, because watermark removal is a paid-plan benefit. AI Content Drop's 10 signup credits are for images only.

### What is Seedance 2.5 used for?

ByteDance built Seedance 2.5 for single takes of up to 30 seconds with sound, guided by many references at once. Typical uses are product ads, social clips, short story scenes and edits or extensions of an existing clip. Its strength is length and reference control, not resolution.

### How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?

On 2026-11-07, a 5-second 720p clip cost $1.16 on BytePlus ModelArk, $1.50 on Runway's API, about EUR 0.70 on Dreamina's Standard plan, and 39 credits ($2.82 to $4.25) on AI Content Drop. Price per second rises with resolution on every platform that lists more than one.

### Is there a Seedance 2.5 API?

Yes. ByteDance sells it through BytePlus ModelArk at $10.70 per million tokens, and Runway sells it through its own API at $0.30 per second at 720p. AI Content Drop's API also runs Seedance 2.5 at 480p and 720p on the same credits as the web app.

### Can I use Seedance 2.5 in ComfyUI or run it locally?

Not locally. ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 launch post and model page offer the model through apps, a playground and an API, and neither offers a download of the model. Any ComfyUI workflow that uses Seedance 2.5 sends the job to a hosted API, so you pay that API's price.

### Is Seedance 2.5 open source?

No open release was announced. ByteDance's launch post of 2026-07-31 and its model page describe access through Jimeng AI, Doubao Pro, a BytePlus playground and the BytePlus API, and they do not mention open weights or a model download.

### Does Seedance 2.5 make 1080p or 4K video?

It depends on the platform. Runway's API, Higgsfield, Magnific and Invideo list 1080p, and Dreamina's page says 4K. On AI Content Drop, Seedance 2.5 renders at 480p or 720p only; Seedance 2.0 here offers 1080p and a 4K option.

### When was Seedance 2.5 released?

ByteDance's Seed team announced Seedance 2.5 on 2026-07-31, first in Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro, with API access through BytePlus ModelArk to follow. CapCut published its desktop launch article on 2026-08-07.

### Is AI Content Drop the cheapest place to use Seedance 2.5?

No. On 2026-11-07 our best per-credit price for a 5-second 720p clip was $2.82, 2.4 times the BytePlus list price of $1.16, and above Runway's API at $1.50. Our plans give you Seedance 2.5 next to 50+ other models on one balance, which is a convenience, not a lower price.

### Where can I use Seedance 2.0?
